A Message Regarding COVID-19
To our customers

We want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our community, customers, and associates very seriously. Like you, we continue to monitor the developing effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the current provincial stay-at-home mandate, as of Thursday, April 8th our showrooms will be temporarily closed until further notice.

Our delivery service will continue with some limitations and curbside pick-up is available at our Toronto location only.  You may contact our Toronto office via phone or email from 10am-5pm M-F.

All furniture will be delivered in original factory packaging and placed into your room of choice. Furniture assembly has been suspended at this time.

Our drivers will be practising contactless delivery and all orders must be paid for in full beforehand.  Any balance can be paid via e-transfer at payments@arrowfurniture.com with your invoice number in the message field or via credit card by phone on the same card that was used previously in-store.

Due to high demand, please be advised that shipping times are longer than normal.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies. We are all in this together.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe!

3 Dining Room Lighting Trends

  • Decor

When’s the last time you heard anyone talk about dining room lighting trends? Even DIY interior designers know the power of lighting to create focal points and set the mood in the living room, family room and bedroom.

But dining rooms have mostly been left to fend for their own ambience lit only by a single overhead light. And even then, dining room light fixtures weren’t exactly décor trendsetters.

Lighting Trends for the Dining Room

In our effort to liberate the ambience of dining rooms everywhere, we offer the following trends for modern dining room lighting.

  1. The Art of the Dining Room Light – Artful lighting ideas for dining spaces have been limited to a few familiar trends for many years, including bold designs like the sputnik chandelier, for those who dared.

But this year you’ll notice a more artful design style for dining room lights. Designs will be as inspirational as they are functional.
  2. Floor Lamps in the Dining Room! – One of the issues with a single light fixture above the dining table is the limitations of lighting options. Add a dimmer and/or wall sconce and you’ve exhausted your options. But imagine the possibilities if you introduced a floor lamp or two, like this contemporary metal floor lamp, not just for added lighting possibilities, but for more character in the room.
  3. Living Room/Dining Room Décor Continuity – In homes where dining rooms and living rooms flow into each other, the poor dining room had to compete with the home decor attention heaped on the living room.

While dining rooms don’t necessarily need to sport the same design style as the connected living room, there will be more balance in focal points and signature pieces. In the dining room, that role will be mainly played by lighting fixtures.
