How to Improve Your Home Decor With Plants
We all have an inner interior designer who wants to give our homes a uniquely personal, stylish and unexpected touch. But that can be a real challenge. It’s one thing if you could afford to get all new living room or bedroom furniture to makeover the house. Fortunately for your bank account, you can make every room brighter and more attractive by practicing a little home decor with plants.
3 Tips for Using Plants to Improve Your Home’s Decor
Plants add a unique dimension to every décor. And they improve the air in your home too. Whether you already have a few houseplants, or you just don’t have a green thumb, try one or more of the following tips to improve your home’s interior.
- Put Potted Plants on a Cart or Bench – Whether it’s an antique full of character or one that matches your existing furniture, a bar cart or wooden bench can hold a variety of greenery. Use the combination to fill up empty wall space or even to divide a larger room.
- Try an Eclectic Theme – If you have a neutral décor, choose a complementary colour and find different sizes and shapes of pots and containers in that colour. If your interior is bolder in design, try all white or all grey. You can also try pots of similar shape in a variety of sizes. Yet another option is different pot designs made of similar materials, like brass or clay.
- Get Creative with DIY Pots – Have an old coffee cup you never drink from? What about an old coffee pot? Or do you have a bit of an artistic streak that would love to express itself on a clay pot? In any case, a funky array of indoor plants is attractive and a unique personal expression.
