4 Wall Paint Ideas for the Bedroom
Of course, the bedroom color needs to work with your bedroom furniture and accessories. And how much natural light you like can affect your color palette too, with darker rooms needing more light to avoid the room feeling too closed in. Still, here are some bedroom paint color ideas for you to think about.
1) Beauty of a White Wall – White walls work with just about everything. It offers excellent contrast for darker furniture, wood grains, pastel colours or even brighter colours, including white! Brighter rooms feel larger than they are, so white may be a good choice for smaller rooms.
2) Dark Grays to Sleep-In By – Dark gray walls can add a certain richness to a room. They also help give it a layered look as the walls seem to recede and help your furniture and accessories take centre stage.
3) Browns for Cozy, Warm, Earth Tones – While brown isn’t usually the first colour that comes to mind for the bedroom, it can have a very warm, welcoming effect. Darker browns are a great backdrop for lighter coloured earth-tone bedding, including muted oranges and reds. Lighter browns and beiges can brighten a room without overwhelming it.
4) Go Dark & Light – It can be difficult to decide between bright, light-filled rooms, or darker, calmer rooms. So why not have a dash a both. Pick a main colour, whether its lighter or darker, and then choose one wall in the room that you can paint a contrasting darker colour.
