OK, we’re not talking about creating a décor worthy of an abstract artist. But one of the benefits of wiping the slate clean is the opportunity to try something different with your furniture. You’ll probably be more satisfied with the results than if you go with the tried and true.

Especially if you have a somewhat different vision, it can be difficult to fill in the pieces. You may not be able to find just the right pieces – even after you’ve looked at thousands. 5. Remember the Important Role of Furniture Accessories

When You’re furnishing an entire room or house, you tend to think in larger elements, like the dinging set, or bedroom suite. That can lead you to take steps with those pieces to accomplish something that those pieces weren’t necessarily meant to do.

For example, you might want to have a splash of colour and decide on a funky fuschia sofa. Except your entire room will glow in fuchsia when the sun shines or when you put on the lamps at night. Would a some fuschia throw pillows accomplish the effect you were hoping for, without causing fuschia blindness?
