3 Tips that Help Fill up Home Decor
Walls are great. They keep the roof up over our heads. But sometimes they can be a real pain. Like when you’re trying to redecorate your living room and you have a blank space, whether it’s an entire wall or just a section, that you just don’t know what to do with.
The problem goes beyond the part of the wall you need to fill. You could have the living room suite of your dreams, but it just won’t look right in the room until the entire room’s décor is done, blank walls and all.
And the answer isn’t as simple as hanging another picture, because you already have a picture, and maybe a mirror and everything else you can think of and still… you have a blank space fill.
If this is a situation you find yourself in, here are just a few ideas for some cool and creative wall decoration ideas to put the finishing touch on your living room’s décor.
1. Make a Mantle
You don’t need a fireplace to have a mantle. Mantles give you different ways to display art, photographs, sculptures, plants; anything that fits on a mantle.
2. Plant a Vertical Garden
Using a large vertical plant as the ‘anchor’, build some shelving beside or around it for potted plants and, poof, you have a vertical garden. The cool thing is you can size your garden perfectly to fit the space you have.
3. Put a Pallet to Work
Just search ‘pallets’ on Pinterest. You’ll be amazed at the number and variety of ideas you’ll find. From being the wood for the mantle or vertical garden shelves, to being the material for your own creative wall décor, if you can’t find a solution for your blank wall using a pallet, you’re not trying hard enough.
Now that you have some ideas for the open spots on your walls just think how great the rest of your living room furniture and accessories will look!
