5 Questions To Ask An Interior Designer
Interior designers can help bring your home’s interior together. They know how to pair certain furniture with accents in order to make your home aesthetically pleasing. So, you should consult with your interior designer before starting any plans to redecorate and/or buy new furniture.
Here are 5 questions to ask your interior designer.
What certifications do you have?
Asking about certifications can give you insight on how experienced and educated your interior designer is. You want to make sure that whoever is designing your home has an eye for design and can tell you if something is missing or in the wrong spot.
What services do you offer?
Asking about the services a designer offers can help you figure out if the services align with your goals and expectations. The services offered can help you decide whether or not that designer is the right fit for you. You should also check to see if the designer has other resources that you may need during the process.
What is your style?
If your designer specializes in a particular design style, make sure it aligns with your design directions. If you want a modern-feel to your home and your designer specializes in more contemporary designs, then your home may not turn out the way you want.
Will you manage the budget?
Designing your home can get expensive. So, you want to have a set budget for your designer to work with. Make sure you designer will be able to stay within your budget and will talk to you if there are any changes.
What do you consider a successful project?
Whether it’s meeting deadlines or bringing your vision to life, make sure you and your designer are aligned. Make sure your designer’s version of a successful project is similar to your version so your home turns out exactly how you want it.
